What is the work of creation?

Did God create the world?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of thine hands, (Hebrews 1:10)

And all things in it?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: God made the world and all things therein, (Acts 17:24)

Did he create the soul of man?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: Who formeth the spirit of man within him, (Zechariah 12:1)

And the body of man?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: In thy book were all my members written, (Psalm 139:16)

Did he create the highest angels?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: By him were all things created, whether they be thrones, etc., (Colossians 1:16)

And the meanest insects?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: God made every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, (Genesis 1:25)

And what omnipotence wrought, did omniscience approve?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: God saw every thing that he had made and behold it was very good, (Genesis 1:31)

Did God need any assistance in his work?

Answer: No.

Proof: Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? (Job 41:11)

Did he make all things out of nothing?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: For the things which are seen were not made of the things that do appear, (Hebrews 11:3)

And by his word?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: He said let there be light: and there was light, (Genesis 1:3)

And in six days?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: In six days the Lord made heaven and earth, (Exodus 20:11)

Did he appoint every creature its proper station and use?

Answer: Yes.

Proof: Let there be lights in the firmament, and let them be for signs and for seasons, for days and for years, (Genesis 1:14)

Does God go on to create?

Answer: No.

Proof: On the seventh day God rested from all his works, (Genesis 2:2)
